Lincoln Land womens soccer has rotated goalies in every game this season between Glenwood graduate Abi Stephens and Pleasant Plains graduate Elle Walker. Friday afternoon’s Logger game saw Abi Stephens get the start in goal, so that meant Walker would be a substitute in the field. With 30 minutes to play in the Region 24 Tournament semifinal played at Lincoln Land, Walker would score the game’s only goal on an assist from Sophia Smith. Stephens preserved the shutout and Lincoln Land beat Kaskaskia College 1-0. The Loggers will play Heartland at Bloomington High School at 12 pm on Sunday in the Region 24 Tourney championship game.
