Sacred Heart-Griffin defeated Mascoutah 43-22 in a week two non-conference game. Trent Caldwell scored twice in the first quarter to help the Cyclones jump out to a 27-0 lead. The Indians cut it to a one-score game but SHG pulled away in the fourth quarter for the three-score win. The Cyclones host Jacksonville next week to begin Central State Eight play.
