The Illinois Patriots scored seven runs in the fifth inning to defeat the Chatham Braves 9-5. The Patriots trailed 4-1 entering the inning and were able to hold off a late push by the Braves in the seventh inning for the win. Action continues in the Midwest College Showcase tomorrow afternoon.
