The Midwest College Baseball Showcase got started on Thursday afternoon at Lincoln Land and UIS. In game two of the day at LLCC Flood City scored two in the first for an early lead. That’s where the score stood until the top of the seventh as Josh Cates drove in two for the Rifles to tie the game. In the home half of the inning Colten Knoedler came up with the walk off sac fly for the 3-2 Flood City win. Flood City plays Extreme Elite at Illinois College on Friday at 1:30pm while the Rifles play the Chatham Braves at LLCC at 5:00pm.
