Ryan Held finished in 5th place in the men’s 100m freestyle at the 2024 US Swim Trials. Held finished just .04 seconds off of a guaranteed spot on the 4x100m relay team. However, he can still make the relay team if there are open spots for male swimmers after the trials conclude and he still has the 50m freestyle to contest beginning tomorrow. Megan van Berkom competed in the semifinals of the women’s 200m butterfly, finishing in 14th position. She still has 200 IM on Friday.
