The Maroa-Forsyth Trojan bats caught fire in the third inning of their State Semifinal against Sterling Newman Central Catholic. The Trojans struck for eight runs in the inning and added three more in the 4th for an 11-1 victory. Ace Giles led the way with two doubles and three RBI. Mitch Williams, Tate Brandenburg, Zayn Giles and Cayden Rose all drove in runs for Maroa-Forsyth. Kaiden Maurer pitched all five innings and surrendered just one hit and one unearned run in the five inning win. The Trojans will play the winner of Wilmington and Effingham St. Anthony tomorrow at 7 pm for the 2A State Title.
