Maroa-Forsyth defeated Litchfield 10-4 in the 2A Lincoln Land Super-Sectional to earn a bid to State for the second time in three years. Tate Brandenburg drove in five while Zayn Giles knocked in four in the victory. Connor Kelly pitched for 5.1 and picked up the victory. Andy Munjoy also reached base in all five plate appearances, drawing four walks and being hit by a pitch. The Trojans will play Newman Central Catholic at Dozer Park in Peoria on Friday at 4 pm in the 2A State Semifinal.
