Down to their final six outs, the Rockets forced extras and won 4-1 in eight innings to claim the 1A Lincoln Land super sectional title and punch their ticket to state. Bryson Mossman hit a solo home run in the sixth inning and Jace Lautemann drove in two runs in the eighth and Talon Thompson added an insurance RBI after. Conrad Charpentier pitched seven strong innings, giving up zero earned runs and just one total, that came in the first inning. Eli Olson pitched the eighth for the save. Routt will play Ottawa Marquette on Friday at 10 am at Dozier Park in Peoria in the Class 1A semifinals.
