Pleasant Plains defeated Sacred Heart-Griffin 6-1 in game one of a softball doubleheader on Saturday morning. Faith Nestler pitched all seven innings for the Cardinals, striking out twelve and allowing just one run. The Cyclone starter Kenzie Weiland also had eleven strikeouts over seven innings of work. Lexie Shimkus also stood out with two hits, two RBI and a diving catch for the Cardinals.
