LLCC: Loggers Drop Two at St. Louis Community College

St. Louis Community College scored six runs in the fourth inning, which helped them defeat the Loggers 9-0 on Wednesday. St. Louis Community College opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles. St. Louis Community College first got on the board when Morgan Jones singled, scoring one run.

St. Louis Community College scored six runs on six hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Gabrielle Bax doubled, scoring two runs, Gretchen Trello singled, scoring one run, Jones doubled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run. Lily Hurley earned the win for St. Louis Community College. They allowed three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out two and walking two.
Kaylee Yost took the loss for the Loggers. They went four innings, allowing nine runs (eight earned) on eight hits, striking out five and walking four.
Haley Willan, Allie Dolenc, and Sage Carr each collected one hit for the Loggers.

Jones provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led St. Louis Community College with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Cece Mora and Jones each collected two hits for St. Louis Community College. Natalee Watts led St. Louis Community College with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying four walks for the game. St. Louis Community College were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Mackenzie Gieseler had the most chances in the field with five.

G2 – St. Louis Community College

The Loggers had trouble keeping up with St. Louis Community College in a 12-5 loss on Wednesday. St. Louis Community College opened the scoring in the first after Gretchen Trello homered to right field, scoring two runs.

The Loggers captured the lead, 3-2, in the top of the second after Andee Brown hit a sacrifice fly, St. Louis Community College committed an error, and Destiny Loeb singled, each scoring one run.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, St. Louis Community College went back into the lead after Natalee Watts tripled, and Morgan Jones homered to center field, each scoring two runs.McKenna Schuler homered to center field, scoring three runs in the bottom of the sixth for the St. Louis Community College.

Ashlyn Miller earned the win for St. Louis Community College. They surrendered five hits and three runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking none. Bailey Teasley took the loss for the Loggers. The righty went three and one-third innings, surrendering six runs on nine hits, striking out two and walking three.

Leadoff hitter Loeb led the Loggers with three hits in four at bats. St. Louis Community College tallied 16 hits in the game. Keira Chrisco, Gabrielle Bax, and Cece Mora each collected three hits for St. Louis Community College. Schuler and Watts each drove in three runs for St. Louis Community College. Trello collected two hits for St. Louis Community College in four at bats.
