G1 – Blackburn College JV
Haley Willan drove in five runs on three hits to lead the Loggers past Blackburn College JV 12-1 on Thursday. Willan doubled in the second inning, scoring three runs, and hit a home run to left field in the fourth inning, scoring two. The Loggers were the first to get on the board in the first when an error scored two runs. The Loggers added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Willan doubled, and Emmy Renfro homered to left field, each scoring three runs.
Four more Loggers runs crossed the plate in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 12-1. Allie Dolenc doubled, scoring one run, Willan homered to left field, scoring two runs, and Maranda File doubled, scoring one run. Kaylee Yost earned the win for the Loggers. The right-handed pitcher gave up one hit and one run over five innings, striking out six and walking two. Michelle Hollon took the loss for Blackburn College JV. The righty went three innings, surrendering 11 runs (nine earned) on nine hits, striking out two and walking four.
The Loggers piled up 11 hits in the game. Refro collected two hits for the Loggers in two at bats. The Loggers worked the count all day, amassing four walks. TheLoggers were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Andee Brown made the most plays with eight.

G2 – Blackburn College JV
Even though the Loggers collected 14 hits to Blackburn College Jv’s 12, they still fell 8-6 on Thursday. Kaylee Yost and Sage Carr each collected three hits for the Loggers. Blackburn College JV were the first to get on the board in the first when Zoe Mitchell doubled, scoring one run. Hannah Myers hit a sacrifice fly, which helped the Loggers tie the game at one in the bottom of the second.
A tag up by K Frey gave Blackburn College Jv the lead, 2-1, in the top of the third. Carr doubled, which helped the Loggers tie the game at five in the bottom of the sixth. In the top of the seventh, Blackburn College JV broke up the tie when an error scored one run. Then a double by Frey followed to extend the lead to 8-5.
S Koenig earned the win for Blackburn College Jv. They surrendered two hits and two runs (one earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking two. Maranda File took the loss for the Loggers. The right-handed pitcher went one inning, allowing three runs (zero earned) on two hits, striking out none and walking one. Kylan Arndt started in the circle for the Loggers. The righty allowed nine hits and four runs (three earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking none. Julianna Tabian stepped in the circle first for Blackburn College Jv. The starting pitcher gave up 12 hits and four runs over five innings, striking out three and walking three.
