Game 1 vs. John Wood
The Loggers defeated John Wood Community College 12-4 on Sunday thanks in part to 11 runs in the first inning. Nolan McMasters drew a walk, scoring one run, Grant Pohlman homered to center field, scoring three runs, Andrew Randazzo was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Andrew Hendrickson doubled, scoring two runs, and Austin Adcock hit a grand slam to center field.
John Wood Community College got on the board in the first inning after Carson Moreno doubled, scoring one run. The Loggers added one run in the second. Pohlman stole home, making the score 12-2.
Porter Conn earned the win for Loggers. The lefty surrendered three hits and two runs over four innings, striking out eight and walking five. Ethan McMasters took the loss for John Wood Community College. They went two-thirds of an inning, allowing six runs on four hits, striking out none and walking three. Eli Curtis threw one inning of zero-run ball for Loggers in relief. The lefty surrendered zero hits, striking out none and walking none.
Adcock drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Loggers with four runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Hendrickson went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Loggers in hits. The Loggers had patience at the plate, piling up eight walks for the game. McMasters and Caleb Royer led the team with two bases on balls each. Pohlman stole two bases.
Garrett Meyer, Alex Loman, Moreno, Kevin Martinez, Ben Kasparie, and Jorey Anderson each collected one hit for John Wood Community College. Meyer, Loman, Moreno, and Payton Mansfield each drove in one run for John Wood Community College. John Wood Community College turned one double play in the game. John Wood Community College didn’t commit a single error in the field. Loman had the most chances in the field with seven.

Game 2 vs. John Wood
The Loggers won big over John Wood Community College 11-1 on Sunday. John Wood Community College got on the board in the first inning after Kevin Martinez doubled, scoring one run.
A home run to center field by Austin Adcock gave the Loggers the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first. The Loggers added one run in the second. Hunter Moser singled on an 0-2 count, making the score 3-1.
Grant Pohlman homered to right field, scoring three runs in the bottom of the third for the Loggers. Mark Wolak earned the win for the Loggers. They gave up three hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out four and walking none.
Landon Gilliland took the loss for John Wood Community College. The starting pitcher went three innings, giving up six runs on four hits, striking out three and walking four. Pohlman went 2-for-2 at the plate as the right-handed hitter led the team with three runs batted in. Loggers had patience at the plate, tallying nine walks for the game. Nolan McMasters and Payton Mugele led the team with two free passes each.
Martinez went 1-for-2 at the plate as the right-handed hitter led the team with one run batted in. Garrett Meyer, Martinez, and Jorey Anderson each collected one hit for John Wood Community College.
The Loggers will travel to Parkland College for their next game on Saturday.
