Trinity in Taylorville Prime Time Performer: March 4-9

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

Earl Clark (Williamsville Boys Track & Field) The Bullets hosted their second indoor meet of the season as Glenwood, Springfield High and U-High came to town. It was Clark who picked up two wins in field events for Williamsville. He took first in long jump at 20′ 4 and first in triple jump at 42′ 4.

Klaire Eighner (Maroa Forsyth Girls Track & Field) The Trojans traveled to Illinois College for an indoor meet on Saturday and Eighner picked up two top three finishes. She won the 800 meter with a time of 2:24.13 and finished second, by less then a second, in the 400 meter at 1:04.18.

Zack Evans (West Central Boys Basketball) West Central brings home a 1A state championship to Winchester! The Cougars picked up the title with a 63-43 win over Mounds Meridian on Saturday at the State Farm Center. The senior all-stater led the way in the championship game with a double double of 27 points and 13 rebounds. He also scored 17 in a double overtime semifinal win on Thursday while shooting a perfect 6-for-6 at the free throw line. Highlights of the semifinal win HERE and state championship victory HERE.

Chance Little (West Central Boys Basketball) The Cougars are 1A State Champs! West Central picked up a double overtime win in the state semifinal before winning the state title on Saturday at the State Farm Center. Little led the way in the semifinal victory with 33 points. He also had seven rebounds, two blocks and went 15-for-20 at the free throw line in the game. In the state championship he scored 19 points and collected six rebounds. Natalie Miles (Glenwood Girls Track & Field) The Titans had a good showing in Williamsville on Tuesday taking on the Bullets, Springfield High and U-High in an indoor meet. Miles picked up two wins in the field events. She took first in long jump at 16′ 5.5 and first in triple jump at 35′ 1.5.

Reese Mitchell (Normal U-High Girls Track & Field) The Pioneers traveled to Williamsville on Tuesday to compete in an indoor meet with two other Central State Eight schools and the Bullets. Mitchell won both the 100 meter and 200 meter with times of 7.92 and 26.57. Check out some highlights HERE.

Brayden Saling (Williamsville Boys Basketball) The Williamsville Bullets brought home a fourth place finish from Champaign on Thursday. In the two games that day it was Saling leading the way with 43 combined points. He scored 21 in the state semifinal game against Phillips Academy then later that night scored 22 points including four three-pointers and adding four steals to his stat line. Brecken Thomas (Williamsville Boys Basketball) A historic run for the Bullets this season on the basketball court as they made it back to state for the first time since 1991. In the super sectional game at the BOS Center on Monday, Thomas led the way with 16 points including the only Williamsville three-pointer of the game. He also finished with five steals as the Bullets held Macomb to 16 points in the final three quarters and went 7-for-8 at the free throw line. In the state semifinal he scored 11 points.
