G1 – Lake Sumpter State College
The Loggers had trouble keeping up with Lake Sumpter State College in a 9-1 loss on Tuesday. Lake Sumpter State College got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after #10 homered to left field, and the Loggers committed an error, each scoring two runs.
Bailey Teasley led things off in the circle for Loggers. They surrendered four hits and one run over five innings, striking out one and walking two.
Emmy Renfro, Charlie Hayes, Haley Willan, and Allie Dolenc each collected one hit for the Loggers. Dolenc went 1-for-3 at the plate as the right-handed hitter led the team with one run batted in.
Lake Sumpter State College piled up 13 hits in the game. #20, #24, #17, #23, #8, and #15 each collected two hits for Lake Sumpter State College. #10 and #15 each drove in two runs for Lake Sumpter State College. Lake Sumpter State College ran wild on the base paths, accumulating five stolen bases for the game.

G2 – Lake Sumpter State College
The Loggers had trouble keeping up with Lake Sumter State College in a 12-3 loss on Monday. The Loggers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Kaylee Yost hit into a fielder’s choice, Charlie Hayes singled, and Lake Sumter State College committed an error, each scoring one run. Lake Sumter State College made the score 4-3 in the bottom of the first after Megan Wright doubled, scoring two runs, Payton Parkes singled, scoring one run, and Amy Bak drew a walk, scoring one run. Lake Sumter State College added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when Wright singled, scoring one run, and Parkes homered to center field, scoring three runs. Lake Sumter State College added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Savannah Ellis singled, Alexis Adams tripled, Wright singled, and Sara White singled, each scoring one run. Kylan Arndt stepped in the circle first for Loggers Softball 2024. The right-handed pitcher gave up nine hits and 11 runs (10 earned) over two and one-third innings, striking out none and walking five. Bak started in the circle for Lake Sumter State College. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking two.
Sydney Glick and Hayes each collected two hits for the Loggers. Yost led the Loggers with one run batted in. Destiny Loeb stole two bases. The Loggers stole four bases in the game. Lake Sumter State College piled up 12 hits in the game. Wright and Parkes were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Lake Sumter State College while hitting back-to-back. Wright and Parkes were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in four runs for Lake Sumter State College. Ellis and Adams each collected multiple hits for Lake Sumter State College. Lake Sumter State College had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Lake Sumter State College stole four bases in the game.
