Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

Logan Allen (Springfield High Swimming & Diving) The Senators are City Swim champs once again! A big night for the senior as he picked up two individual and two relay wins. His individual wins came in the 50 yard freestyle (23.69) and the 100 backstroke (58.04). He also was the anchor in the winning 200 yard medley relay (1:47.80) and the 400 yard freestyle relay (3:44.86). See highlights of those wins and more HERE.

Jordan Bicknell (Olympia Wrestling) Bicknell brought an individual regional championship back to Stanford on Saturday. She picked up a 11-7 decision over Tuxhorn of Glenwood in the title match at the Mt Zion regional. Bicknell will travel to Peoria Richwoods for sectionals.

Isaac Crumrine (Riverton Boys Basketball) The Hawks got a big Sangamo win on Friday night with a victory over Pleasant Plains. Crumrine is one of Riverton’s many scoring threats and in the 41-37 win he led the way with 12 points. Check out the highlights of the close win HERE.

Clayton Dinardo (Auburn Boys Basketball) The Trojans picked up their third Sangamo victory on Friday in Athens with a 62-37 win. Entering the third with a two point lead Dinardo got hot and scored 13 of his game high 14 points that quarter to help lead Auburn to the win. Highlights of the victory HERE.

JaiQuan Holman (Lanpheir Boys Basketball) The Lanphier junior recently had a milestone moment and scored his 1,000th point. It was celebrated on Saturday at Lober Nika Gym as the Lions picked up a win over the Sacred Heart Griffin Cyclones. He finished the game with 11 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Kaleb Larson (Calvary Boys Basketball) The Saints traveled to Litchfield on Tuesday and picked up a 58-55 victory thanks to a Larson game winner. Larson made a three with 5.2 seconds left that gave Calvary the lead. Litchfield got a shot off as time expired but it was no good and the Saints came away with the victory.

Bailey Leach (Pleasant Plains Girls Basketball) Another Sangamo team that continues to pick up wins is the Pleasant Plains Cardinals. They are on an eight game win streak with their most recent win coming against Tolono Unity at the Sangamo -Illini Prairie Shootout. Leach was a big part of the second half defensive effort that lead to the 45-29 victory. She also had nine points in the win. Check out the highlights HERE.

Drew Marr (PORTA Boys Basketball) The Bluejays traveled to Maroa on Friday night and picked up a big 59-56 win over the Trojans. Marr was the difference in the third with 10 points as PORTA outscored Maroa Forsyth 20-10 that quarter. He finished the night with two three-pointers and 18 points,

Owen Ottino (Glenwood Wrestling) Ottino picked up the 126 pound title at the QND Invite on Saturday and now sits at 29-10 this season. The Titans finished fourth at the invite. Glenwood also wrapped up the Central State Eight title on Thursday at home with team victories over Rochester and Jacksonville. Ottino was a key factor in the Titans winning the conference title again and why they as a team are ranked in the top 5 in the state in Class 2A.

Joe Reif (Jacksonville Wrestling) The Crimsons won the Quincy Notre Dame Invite on Saturday and Reif was one of their champions that helped lead them to the win. Reif picked up the win in the 150 pound bracket with a fall at 5:56 over Carel of Warsaw.

Alexis Seymour (Jacksonville Wresting) Another trip to sectionals for Seymour as she picked up a regional title at the Erie girls wresting regional over the weekend. Her victory came in the 120 pound weight class with a fall at 3:34 over Eriks of Rock Falls.

Aubrey Vogel (PORTA Girls Basketball) The PORTA Lady Jays continue their success this season by pushing their win streak to ten. On Thursday, they picked up a Sangamo win over Olympia at home to move to 4-0 in the conference. Then on Saturday, the Lady Jays got a 70-39 win at the Sangamo – Illini Prairie Shootout over Bloomington Central Catholic. Vogel finished with 16 points on Saturday. Kadi Wilbern (Glenwood Wrestling) The Titans have a regional champion wrestler. The girls wrestling regionals took place over the weekend and Wilbern picked up a win at the Mt Zion regional in the 100 pound weight class. She picked up a fall at 2:29 over Milligan of GCMS for the victory and will advance to the Peoria Richwoods Sectional in a couple weeks.

Amir Womack (Southeast Boys Swimming & Diving) The Spartan senior had a record setting night at City 2024. During the one meter dive he finished second with a score of 208.9 but it was enough to set a personal record and a new school record.
