The Athens Warriors picked up a 31-25 opening round win over Riverton on Monday at the Girls Sangamon County Tournament. Athens was led by Zoe Laird with 12 points. The Warriors play Pleasant Plains on Tuesday at 6pm in a semifinal while Riverton’s next game is Thursday at 5pm.
