LLCC – 60
The Lincoln Land men’s basketball team traveled to St. Louis to play the Archers of St. Louis Community College, but dropped the contest 69-60.
Lincoln Land started as the more dominate team after staring off on a 5-0 run and held the lead for the first 10 minuets of the game. Unfortunately, STLCC took the lead and never gave it back. Although, LLCC seemed to be in the game originally, the Loggers found themselves trailing 40-22.
The two teams traded baskets out of the half and the Archers were able to lead by a high of 23 points until Lincoln Land, again became the stronger team. Jermale Young was a spark plug off the bench knocking in back to back three pointers, helping fuel a 15-0 Logger run. The Loggers never were able to get closer than a 8 point deficit. St. Louis had answers for each LLCC buckets and kept the Loggers at bay. The final buzzer put the Archers on top 69-60.
