A relatively new cast of characters, but the same result as last season. Pleasant Plains won the 2A sectional title on Wednesday night, defeating Illini West in straight sets 25-14, 25-16 to advance to the 2A Carlinville super sectional on Friday. Pleasant Plains will play Breese Mater Dei in the super sectional on Friday.
