Aiden Schmidt scored with 27 minutes to play for the game’s only goal in the 1A Pleasant Plains regional championship game. The Cardinals beat Lincolnwood 1-0 with Edson Frey preserving the shutout. Plains will play Friday at Williamsville against Teutopolis at 4:30 in the sectional semifinal.
