LLCC vs DMACC
The Loggers took on #20 ranked Des Moines Area Community College. The Land won is dramatic fashion in a 5-set thriller. Set scores including, 25-22, 26-28, 25-20, 23-25 and 15-11.
Peyton Bergschneider notched a double double with an outstanding performance including 21 kills and 19 digs. ‘Bergy’ also chipped in 6 aces from the service line. Mckenna Blackwell also earned a double double with 1 7 kills and 10 digs, in addition to posting 5 aces. Kenna Bixby also earned a double double with an impressive 56 assists and 12 digs. Bixby chipped in 2 aces while Sienna Hadley had 3.
LLCC vs Madison
Lincoln Land played Madison College in their 6:00 pm match. The Loggers took down Madison for the second time, earning their first win just one week ago. The contest was 4 sets, with set scores including, 25-23. 13-25, 28-26 and 25-21.
The Loggers distributed a balanced offense from setter Kenna Bixby dishing out 31 assists. Bixby was a digging machine with 25 digs, earning another double double. Bixby was only second in digs to the Libero, Sydney McTaggart, who notched 26 saves.
Mckenna Blackwell lead the team in kills with 13, followed by Peyton Bergschneider with 11 kills and 13 digs, posting another remarkable double double on the day. Kills earned by other Loggers included Sienna Hadley (9), Hailee Belsher (5) & Hannah Clayton (5).
