The #10 Lincoln Land Loggers took down the #4 ranked Heartland Hawks. The Loggers won in 4 sets, set scores including 22-25, 27-25, 30-28 and 25-14. The Land continues their winning streak, making it 9 in a row.
The Loggers displayed a balanced offense and defensive match. Sophomore Setter Kenna Bixby had an impressive performance posting a double double with 47 assists and 23 digs. Lincoln Land’s middle blockers popped off. Hailee Belsher notched 13 kills with a .435 hitting percentage. Sienna Hadley posted 14 kills with a .500 hitting percentage, leading the team in kills. Hadley also notched 4 assists.
Peyton Bergschneider posted another double double with 13 kills and 10 digs. Mckenna Blackwell also earned a double double with 10 kills and 11 digs from the left pin. Blackwell also chipped in 3 aces. Hannah Clayton and Faith Kientzle gave an impressive defensive effort protecting the back court with their floor defense. Clayton had 18 digs while Kientzle added 21.
The Loggers look ahead to the Parkland Challenge this Friday and Saturday, where they will face more ranked opponents.
