Athens made a big statement to start the Sangamo schedule with a three set road win 25-22, 14-25, 25-19 at Pleasant Plains on Thursday night led by Karsyn Jacoby and Addie Stadsholt. Athens hosts Williamsville on Tuesday in Sangamo action while Plains is at Auburn.
