The Loggers traveled to Champaign to take on MWAC opponent Parkland College. The Loggers fell to the Cobras in straight sets, with set scores including 21-25, 23-25 & 15-25.
The box score does not reflect the intensity of the match. The Loggers stayed strong through sets one and two. Both left side attackers for Lincoln Land, Peyton Bergschneider and Hannah Clayton, finished the game with 10 kills each. Sophomore setter Kenna Bixby tallied 25 assists while freshman right side attacker McKenna Blackwell notched 11 digs leading the Loggers defensively. The Land played outstanding backcourt defense with 42 team digs.
The Loggers bounce back into play this weekend traveling to Cedar Rapids, Iowa for the Kirkwood Tournament taking place Friday and Saturday.
