Rochester got a great pitching performance from Jack Swaney going 6 1/3 and the bats came alive in the second and fifth innings for a 6-2 win over Mahomet Seymour in the 3A Lincoln sectional semifinal. Jorey Myren Mason Wheeler and Parker Gillespie all had big hits to drive in runs and Tyson Binion closed the game on the bump. Rochester awaits the winner of Thursday’s semifinal between Glewnood and Champaign Central for a 3A Lincoln sectional title game scheduled for a 10 am first pitch on Saturday.
