The Loggers defeated Millikin University JV 13-0 on Tuesday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Keleb Rogers struck out Drew Fulschur to finish off the game. Lincoln Land secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the first inning. The offensive onslaught came from walks by Evan Kochel and Grant Pohlman, a single by Austin Adcock, by Wandel Campana, and a fielder’s choice by Luke Kracik.
The Loggers opened up scoring in the first inning. Adcock drove in two when Adcock singled. One bright spot for Millikin was a single by Tyler Procajlo in the third inning. Zane Danielson earned the win for Loggers. The lefthander surrendered zero runs on one hit over four innings, striking out seven and walking zero. Drew Lenz and Rogers entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Alec Mallinder was on the hill for Millikin. Mallinder allowed one hit and seven runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out one. Jacob Bailey, Jayden McNaught, and Christian Badorek each contributed in relief for the Big Blue.
The Loggers collected eight hits. Hunter Moser, Chase Jetel, and Adcock each had multiple hits for Lincoln Land. Adcock, Jetel, and Moser each managed two hits to lead the Loggers. Moser led Lincoln Land with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with four stolen bases. The Loggers were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Pohlman made the most plays with 11. Procajlo led Millikin with two hits in three at bats.
