LLCC vs Parkland Game 1:
The Lincoln Land Loggers couldn’t keep up with the Parkland College Softball Team and fell 12-0 on Wednesday.
A single by Alivia Hemberger in the first inning was a positive for the Loggers. Karley Yergler earned the victory in the circle for Parkland. The pitcher went four innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out six and walking one. Izzy Sheets threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Bailey Teasley took the loss for Lincoln Land. The righty surrendered seven runs on eight hits over one and two-thirds innings. Parkland smacked two home runs on the day. Kami Pearson had a long ball in the second inning. Yergler had a four bagger in the second inning. Hemberger went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead the Loggers in hits. Parkland racked up 15 hits in the game. Maddie Reed, Yergler, Jade Baker, and Pearson each had multiple hits for Parkland.
LLCC vs Parkland Game 2:
Wednesday was a long day for the Loggers, falling to Parkland 8-0 in game two of a double header.Ellie Vetter pitched Parkland to victory. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on zero hits over six innings, striking out 13 and walking zero. Karley Moore took the loss for the Loggers. The righthander lasted four and a third innings, allowing five hits and four runs while striking out two and walking one.
Parkland had ten hits in the game. Grace Bushur, Lizzie Stiverson, and Jaidi Davis all collected multiple hits for the Cobras. Parkland didn’t commit a single error in the field. Lexie Griffin had the most chances in the field with 12.
