Loggers Grab Lead in Sixth Inning to Defeat Lake Land College

The Loggers ran off with the lead late in the game in a 7-6 victory over Lake Land College on Wednesday.  The game was tied at five with Lincoln Land batting in the bottom of the sixth when Will Rohlk hit a solo homer. The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. Loggers collected ten hits and Lake Land College had ten. The Loggers opened up scoring in the first inning. Lincoln Land scored one run when Drew Ezard singled. The Loggers took the lead for good with one run in the sixth inning.  In the sixth Rohlk hit a solo homer.

Lake Land College scored three runs in the fourth inning.  The offensive onslaught by your Lakers was led by Anthony Fornero, Moises Rosario, and Gio Gonzalez, all knocking in runs in the inning. Zane Danielson earned the win for the Loggers. The southpaw lasted two and a third innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out two and walking zero.  Griffin Neuweg and Mitch Dye entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Ethan Clark took the loss for Lake Land. Clark allowed four hits and four runs over three and a third innings, striking out three and walking one. Evan Herpsteith started the game for the Loggers. The righty lasted three and a third innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out two and walking one Colton Fearday started the game for the Lakers. The lefthander surrendered three runs on five hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one

Loggers socked one home run on the day. Rohlk put one out in the sixth inning. Loggers racked up ten hits.  Luke Kracik and Ezard all managed multiple hits for the Loggers.  Ezard and Kracik each collected two hits to lead Loggers. Lake Land College tallied ten hits.  Rosario, Ty Coartney, and Fornero each managed multiple hits for Lake Land.
