In the first inning, Spoon River Snappers got their offense started when Malia Bender singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. In the bottom of the first inning, the Loggers tied things up at one. Mady Wear hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.
Spoon River pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Lynna Fischer doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Morton singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. Spoon River scored five runs in the seventh inning. The Snappers had big bats, lead by Bender, Raivyn Millions, Fischer, Kylie Simmons, and Morton, all knocking in runs in the inning. Vandeveorde earned the victory in the pitcher’s circle for Spoon River. The fireballer allowed five hits and one run over seven innings, striking out two and walking zero.

The Loggers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Spoon River giving up seven runs.
