LLCC: Logger Baseball Split on the Road Against Lewis & Clark

LLCC vs Lewis & Clark Game 1:
Sunday’s first game against Lewis and Clark Community College was a heartbreaker for the Loggers, as they lost the lead late in a 3-2 defeat. The game was tied at two with Lewis and Clark batting in the bottom of the seventh when Porter Conn forced Nick Williams to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.The pitching was strong on both sides. Lewis and Clark’s pitchers struck out 13, while Lincoln Land sat down ten. Lewis and Clark got on the board in the first inning. Gavin Huebner’s sac fly scored one run for Lewis and Clark. In the top of the fifth inning, the Loggers tied things up at two. An error scored one run for Lincoln Land.Anthony Benz was credited with the victory for Lewis and Clark. The pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over two and a third innings, striking out two and walking one. Jackson Parrill threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Conn took the loss for Lincoln Land. Conn went two innings, allowing one run on zero hits and striking out two.Kalen Reardon started the game for Lewis and Clark . The ace lasted five innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out eight Ben Draeger started the game for the Loggers. Draeger lasted six innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out eight and walking one. Adam Passmore led the Loggers with two hits in four at bats. Johnny Rea went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Lewis and Clark in hits.LLCC vs Lewis & Clark Game 2:Both teams were strong on the mound Sunday, but Lincoln Land defeated Lewis and Clark 3-1. The Loggers pitchers allowed just four hits to Lewis and Clark. The Loggers got things started in the first inning.  Drew Ezard doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.Mitch Dye was on the mound for Lincoln Land. The righthander allowed four hits and one run over six innings, striking out eight and walking zero. Ethan Ames started the game for Lewis and Clark. The hurler surrendered three runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out three and walking one. The Loggers hit one home run on the day. Trent Koehler went for the long ball in the third inning. Grant Pohlman led the Loggers with two hits in three at bats. Lincoln Land didn’t commit a single error in the field. Pohlman had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.Austin Martin went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Lewis and Clark in hits.  Lewis and Clark didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jaxson Grubbs had the most chances in the field with 11.
