LLCC: Loggers Baseball Drop a Close Game Against Erie Community College

The Loggers stayed in it until the end, but Erie Community College pulled away late in a 7-6 victory on Sunday.  Erie was down 6-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Nolan Evans tripled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.
Lincoln Land collected six hits and Erie CC had 12 in the high-scoring affair. Erie got on the board in the first inning.  Garett Wilson drew a walk, scoring one run.In the bottom of the sixth inning, Erie tied things up at four when Nathan Kinder hit a solo homer. The Loggers put up four runs in the sixth inning.  Drew Ezard had an RBI grand slam in the inning to lead the run scoring.Ryan Moran led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Erie CC. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on one hit over five innings, striking out two.
Evan Herpsteith was on the mound for Lincoln Land. The pitcher surrendered three runs on five hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one. Sergio Marchizza, Logan Antrim, and Drew Lenz each contributed in relief for LLCC.
Loggers hit one home run on the day. Ezard had a four bagger in the sixth inning. Will Rohlk led Loggers with two hits in five at bats.Erie CC had 12 hits in the game.  Colby Wilson, Wilson, and Andrew Nantau all had multiple hits for Erie.  Wilson went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Erie in hits.
