LLCC vs Indian Hills CC:
The Loggers defeated Indian Hills Community College 11-4 on Sunday thanks in part to Drew Ezard, who drove in four runners. Ezard drove in runs on a home run in the first and a home run in the second.
The Loggers secured the victory thanks to six runs in the second inning. The Loggers big bats were led by Adam Passmore, Ryan Maul, Grant Pohlman, and Ezard, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Lincoln Land got things moving in the first inning, when Ezard homered on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.
LLCC tallied six runs in the second inning. Passmore, Maul, Pohlman, and Ezard powered the big inning with RBIs.
Brannan Kraft pitched lead the Loggers to victory. The righthander went four innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out one. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Evan Herpsteith, Drew Lenz, Sergio Marchizza, and Zane Danielson all securing outs and ultimately the victory.
Adam Golby was on the mound for Indian Hills Community College. The pitcher went one and one-third innings, allowing five runs on four hits, striking out one and walking one.
The Loggers tallied three home runs on the day. Ezard had a long ball in the first and second innings. Pohlman went for the long ball in the third inning.
Lincoln Land racked up 11 hits in the game. Will Rohlk, Passmore, Maul, and Ezard all had multiple hits for the Loggers. Ezard, Maul, Passmore, and Rohlk all had two hits to lead the Loggers.
Indian Hills Community College racked up six hits. Daniel Figueroa and Merrick Mathews each racked up multiple hits for Indian Hills Community College. Figueroa led Indian Hills Community College with three hits in five at bats.
LLCC vs Southwest Tennessee CC:
Lincoln Land fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 5-0 loss to Southwest Tennessee Community College on Sunday. Southwest Tennessee Community College scored on a single by CJ Thomas and a single by Evan Ashe in the second inning.
Southwest Tennessee Community College got things moving in the first inning. Tyler Harrington grounded out, scoring one run.
A single by Austin Adcock in the second inning was a positive for The Loggers.
Markell Dixon pitched Southwest Tennessee Community College to victory, allowing only one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out 13. Hayden Collins and Price Watson entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Adam Lindsey took the loss for The Loggers. Lindsey went three innings, allowing five runs on four hits and striking out three.
Austin Adcock and Adam Passmore each collected one hit to lead The Loggers.
