LLCC: Women’s Basketball Team Take Down Illinois College at Home


 

The Lincoln Land women’s team played host to the reserve squad of Illinois College in a mid-week non-conference game and were victorious 70-34.The Loggers jumped out to a quick 14-2 lead and never looked back. The Loggers lead 47-13 at half. The Loggers were on fire from the field and shot nearly 70% from the field in the half, while forcing 20 Illinois College turnovers. The second half Lincoln Land controlled the tempo of the game and managed the clock to cruise to victory.Lincoln was lead in scoring by Kirsten Taylor and Madison Lovett who each scored 16 points. Cassidy Kretschmer led the Loggers with seven rebounds.   The Loggers assisted on 23 field goals on the evening with Kretschmer leading the way with six. Lincoln Land improves to 15-6 on the year and plays host to Spoon River College in MWAC play on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
