Auburn had five individual champions and beat Vandalia by 1.5 points in the team standings to take the 1A Auburn wrestling team title. Joey Ruzic, Dresden Grimm, Skylar Fay, Joey Barrow and Cole Edie won titles for the Trojans. Cory West won the 195 pound title for SHG and Taylorville had two wrestlers finish in second place to advance to sectionals which will be in Carterville next weekend. As a team, Auburn will head to Vandalia on Tuesday, February 21 for 1A team sectionals. Full results from the 1A Auburn regional can be found here.
