Hawkinson’s Monster Game Keeps Sacred Heart Griffin Unbeaten Against Previously Undefeated MacArthur


 

Zack Hawkinson had 26 points, 22 rebounds and a full court shot to beat the buzzer at the end of the third quarter to power Sacred Heart Griffin to a 72-58 win over MacArthur in a battle of the final two unbeaten teams in the Central State Eight in a state ranked matchup of two of the best teams in 3A. Jake Hamilton added 19 points for the Cyclones, who play Christian Brothers College at the Highland Shootout on Saturday. Azarion Richardson finished with 24 points for the Generals who were without Mahki Wright for most of the game with an injury.
