Sacred Heart Griffin had a chance to clinch the outright CS8 title on Tuesday and had a lead ten minutes into the game. Glenwood responded with two goals before halftime and held on late to take control of the Central State Eight conference race with a week to play. The Titans beat the Cyclones 2-1 to remain the only undefeated team in the CS8. SHG finishes the conference 7-1, while the Titans will host Springfield High (5-1) next Tuesday before wrapping up their CS8 slate with Decatur. Carter Downen and Maddox Gerger scored the goals for Glenwood, while Parker Boatman had the goal for the Cyclones.
