A two run lead for Purdue commit Blake Wolters felt much more once the Mahomet Seymour ace settled in. The Bulldogs led 5-0 after five innings and went on to win 6-1 in the 3A Champaign Central sectional semifinal on Thursday evening against the reigning 3A state champions Springfield High. Braden Houchin hit a solo home run in the fourth and Brayden Smith added a two run double to make it 5-0 for the Bulldogs, who will play Glenwood on Saturday at 11 am in Champaign for the sectional title and a spot in Monday’s Millikin supersectional.
