Battle of the Trojans on Thursday as Maroa Forsyth hosted Auburn. This one was scoreless through 6.5 innings thanks to a pitcher duel before Rheys Sams-Moore hit a walk off solo homer to give Maroa Forsyth the 1-0 victory.
Evan Foster threw seven innings allowing just one hit and striking out 12 for Maroa while Cole Smith pitched six innings and struck out ten for Auburn.
Maroa moves to 8-0 in Sangamo Conference action and locked up at least a share of the title as New Berlin sits at 6-1 in conference, the Trojans can win the conference crown outright next Tuesday as they travel to Riverton.
