Pleasant Plains beat Riverton 52-40 to claim the outright Sangamo conference title on Monday night. After both teams were eliminated from 2A playoff contention last week, the IHSA gave both teams permission to play on Monday to decide with Athens would get a share of the conference title with a Hawks’ win. Zach Powell scored 23 points for the Cardinals.
