Postseason basketball on the boys side kicked off with a close one on Saturday. Inside Duey gymnasium, the Senators went the final 3:40 of the game without scoring and still held on for a 46-44 win over Rochester in the 3A regional semifinal. Artez Hanson led the Senators with 16, while Hank Beatty had 14 for the Rockets. Springfield will travel up Washington to SHG to play the Cyclones on Wednesday in the regional semifinal.
