The Heartland Credit Union and Channel1450 Fill the Trailer food drive wrapped up Monday afternoon at the Central Illinois food bank in Springfield with five area football teams bringing them collected items to be weighed.
The Auburn Trojans defended their title, bringing in 3201 pounds of food to claim the title for the second straight season. Rochester came in second place with 667 pounds of food. Third place was Pleasant Plains, followed by New Berlin and Sacred Heart Griffin. Auburn will receive t-shirts for the entire team, pullovers for the coaches and a special video feature coming on Channel1450.com. Each school participating will receive 20 t-shirts for their team.
