After a 0-0 first quarter Athens got on the board with a 30 yard touchdown from Will Gordon to Brian Lindsay. Tommy Westervelt then made the play of the game to put Athens up 14-0 with a pick 6. The Warriros would lead 20-0 but nearing the halftime buzzer Plains would get a spark as Danny Skelton would find Hayden Boesdorfer with 8 seconds left.
The Warriors would take care of business in the second half scoring three rushing touchdowns for a 41-7 final. The Warriors move to 2-1 while Plains suffers its first loss of the year.
