Springfield High went down 3-0 in the top of the fifth and responded in emphatic fashion, with a six run bottom half to take the lead from Mahomet-Seymour. The Senators beat the Bulldogs 7-3 in the 3A sectional semifinal to advance to Friday’s sectional championship, in which Springfield High will host Glenwood for a spot in Monday’s super-sectional.
