Joel Niermann dropped 20 points to lead all scorers was Pleasant Plains beat Auburn 54-39 to win a regional title. The Cardinals held a double digit lead for most of the game and hit free throws late as the Trojans made one last push. Plains moves on to the Beardstown sectional where a rematch with SHG awaits them in the semifinals.
