The Vipers came out strong and took an 18-5 lead over the Cougars, but West Central chipped away and pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 70-53 win in the 1A Franklin regional semifinal.
Brayden Little hit some big shots in the first half for the Cougars and Ryan Moore and Cole Howard had big second halves. Gabe Cox also became West Central’s all time leading scorer in the game with 15 points.
West Central will play Routt on Friday night in the 1A Franklin regional championship for a spot in the Dupo sectional.
