Despite falling down by double digits early Normal U-High went on a 19-0 run to take the lead and control of their senior night as the Pioneers maintain their grip on the Central State 8 lead with a 66-56 home win over Decatur Eisenhower.
The Panthers jumped out to a 18-9 lead over the hosts after one quarter and extended the lead to 11 but U-High would use a 19-0 run to take control of the game before halftime and not look back.
Logan Christensen would lead U-High with 17 points (after scoring 20 to lead U-High to a road win at Lanphier this past Tuesday) while fellow senior Drew Wollenschlager would add 13 for the Pioneers.
Brylan Phillips would lead all scorers for Eisenhower as the sophomore scored 26. Normal U-High maintains its lead in the CS8 as the Pioneers wrap the conference schedule next week with a road trip to SHG and a home game next Friday vs Glenwood.
