Tri-City made a furious comeback in the final moments of Wednesday’s county semifinal against Auburn, rattling off 10 straight points capped by Allison Campbell’s free throw with 3.6 seconds left to push the Tornadoes past the Trojans for a 40-39 win. Campbell and Ashlyn Sturdy had 13 each, while Auburn’s Marley Smith had a game-high 25 points. Tri-City will play Pleasant Plains in the championship Thursday night.
