A three point ballgame at the half quickly became a West Central running clock win to open up the action at the 69th annual Waverly Holiday Tournament.
Gabe Cox carried the scoring load in the first half for the Cougars. West Central will play the winner of North Mac and Carrollton at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
