With six minutes until halftime, Lasalle Peru had a six point lead over Rochester in the opening round of the 5A playoffs. A forty point third quarter turned on the running clock in the Rockets favor just before the fourth quarter as Rochester beat the Cavaliers 68-26 to open up the 5A playoffs.
Jacob DuRocher carried the Rockets in the first half and the Clay Bruno to Hank Beatty combo did most of the work in the second half. Rochester will travel to Highland in Round Two.
