Maroa-Forsyth Wins Trojan War With Second Half Shutout

Maroa-Forsyth’s defense stepped up big in the second half to help overtake a halftime draw to pull away from Auburn 28-14 to end the regular season at 8-1.

Bryson Boes ran for over 150 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead Maroa-Forsyth but Auburn used a solid ball control offense to keep the game close.

Maroa-Forsyth’s defense bent but didn’t break in the second half, in fact, they broke the hearts of Auburn by stopping a 4th and 1 at the MF 20 to force a turnover on down then intercepted two Auburn passes (one returned for a TD) to ground the Auburn aerial attack.

Maroa-Forsyth likely sealed a home game for Round 1 of the playoffs while Auburn falls to 6-3 but they will be in the playoffs next weekend as well with a likely road tilt for Round 1.
