Pleasant Plains scratched out a run in the top of the first inning and Kylie Nation locked down the Tri-City bats as the Cardinals beat the Tornadoes 1-0 to win the 2A Riverton regional championship on Saturday.
Plains will play Hillsboro on Wednesday in the 2A Litchfield sectional.
